What's new at TetraTec Instruments To give you a fast overview about the actual news and the dates of the trade shows where you can meet us: Our long-time colleague in the calibration lab Martin Breckwoldt passed away: Martin Breckwoldt died on Easter Sunday 2012 after a long and serious illness having not even reached the age of 38 years. We came to know and to esteem Martin as a very likeable, capable und committed person and colleague. His early death has shocked us deeply and leaves a large gap in our life. Management and colleagues from TetraTec Instruments Change of the DKD accreditaion to DAkkS: Our calibration laboratory is in process of accreditation with the new national accreditation body DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle) in the period from January to June 2012 receiving the new registration number D-K-17589-01-00. The before existing accreditation body DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdient) respectively it's accreditation tasks have been transfered since 1.1.2010 into DAkkS. The former registration number DKD-K-22301 will be valid until June 2012. The DKD continues work as a coordination body for technical issues between the calibration labs and the "Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt" PTB based on voluntary membership. Tetratec is member of the commettee flow measurement quantities and in the task group gases, where our calibration lab manger Dr. Schubert is engaged as the head. Extension and review of our calibration facilities: Since November 2009 we can offer DKD calibrations for pure gases in our fully climatised calibration area. With this step we enlarged and improved the ranges, number of gases and accuracies of our calibration services in the flow range up to 1000 Sl/min. In January 2010 we will open our flow tunnel for the high flow ranges in suction operation with air up to 10000 m3/h.
